Sifnos

An island of the western Cyclades located about 4hrs South-SouthEast from the port of Piraeus.
 
Sifnos was quite rich in ancient times due to gold and silver mines on the island. The treasury of the Siphnians in Deplhi is a proof of ancient riches of the island. Nowdays the island is known for its beautiful beaches, its excellent chefs and its pottery.
