Serifos

Serifos is an Aegean Sea island, in the western Cyclades, south of Kythnos and northwest of Sifnos. It is located about 170 km (92 nmi) ESE of Piraeus.
 
Mythology has it that Acrisius was warned by an oracle that his grandson would kill him. So he cast his daughter Danae and her child Perseus to the sea in a wooden chest. They came ashore at the island of Serifos.
 
Must see: Don't forget to visit the beaches of Sikamia, Platis Gialos and Ai-Yannis
